Around the same day that Tom Brady declared he would leave the New England Patriots, Drew Brees agreed on a two-year, $50 million agreement to stay with the New Orleans Saints, an individual with knowledge on the arrangement affirmed to USA TODAY Sports’ Jarrett Bell. Brees earned his 13th Pro Bowl selection last season regardless of missing five games with a thumb injury, throwing for 2,979 yards and 27 touchdowns with only four interceptions.
